Does every AI engine cite YouTube?
No - and this is the part that changes where you spend your time. Perplexity (38.7%) and Google AI Overviews (36.6%) drive the overwhelming majority of YouTube citations. Gemini (0.2%) and Microsoft Copilot (0.5%) barely touch it. Across all AI platforms, YouTube averages about a 20% citation share.
